Our story
History & Overview
Cadet College Kharan is located on Sarawan road, district Kharan, Balochistan. The brick laying was carried out in Jun 2017, wherein the college was formally inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo, in March 2023. With its establishment, Cadet College Kharan became an important addition to the educational landscape of the region, providing students with an environment that combines academic excellence, discipline, physical training and personality development.
The college commenced its academic journey with its 1st entry in Class VII in April 2023. The 2nd entry joined the college in April 2024, followed by the 3rd entry in 2025. The 4th entry joined in April 2026 and 5th entry in January 2027 (upcoming) marking another significant milestone in the gradual expansion of the institution. Currently, Cadet College Kharan comprises of Classes VII, VIII, IX and X, with its strength growing progressively with every new entry.

The cadets of Cadet College Kharan are proudly known as “Raskohians”. The name reflects their association with the historical Raskoh mountain range (Nuclear Testing site), heritage and identity of Kharan and represents the sense of belonging, pride and fellowship shared by the cadet community. The Logo of college represents historical Kharan Fort, vast Kharan desert and fertile land of dates production.
The college spans over an area of 150 Acre with an academic & administrative block, four cadet hostels, sports grounds, faculty residence, auditorium, mess, mosque, amenity block and a hospital. The college is mandated to run its education program from class VII to XII with intake in class VII and XI. The college is affiliated with Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education of Quetta (BBISE). It is supervised by Colleges, Higher & Technical Education department of Government of Balochistan.

Leadership
Organization
The college is headed by the Principal, with an Academic Wing (Vice Principal, house masters and heads of departments) and an Administration Wing (Adjutant and administrative staff).
The cadet is admitted to the college only on the condition that he will abide by the rules and regulations of the college. Any violation of the rules and regulations will make him liable to expulsion. The college cannot be held responsible for any illness, injury, accident, disability or death of a cadet once the cadet is out of the premises of the college.
Discipline
Maintaining a high standard of discipline is the hallmark of the college. It plays a very significant role in grooming and moulding the cadets into wholesome personalities and highly useful future citizens of the country.

Annual Calendar
An annual calendar is issued with the prior approval of the Principal. It includes the schedule of all events, competitions, examinations, term breaks and vacations.
Prayers
All prayers are compulsory for all cadets, except Non-Muslims.
Parents' Visiting Days / Telephone Calls
Parents and guests are allowed to see the cadets only on specified Sundays (Parents' Visiting Days) according to the annual calendar. Furthermore, cadets are allowed to make phone calls to their parents on Sunday in coordination with House Masters/ Assistant House Masters.
Extra Money
Parents should not give any extra money to cadets. If cash exceeding Rs. 1000/- is found in the possession of a cadet, the amount will be confiscated and will not be refunded. However, parents may deposit extra money with the concerned House Master, who shall maintain a record of such money. Cadets may receive the money from the House Master once a week or as required.
Dress Inspection
Dress inspection is carried out every Monday to ensure proper turnout of the cadets.
Grounds for expulsion
A cadet can be expelled from the college on the following grounds:
Stealing
Cheating
Willful and deliberate damage to college property
Using unfair means in examinations
Possession of smart phone
Repeated absence without leave
Repeated failing in term examinations
Consistent indiscipline
Possession of firearms of any kind
Subversive activity
Smoking
Use of narcotics, intoxicants or unauthorized medicines
Insolent behavior with staff
Fighting
Harassing juniors
Immoral offence of any kind whatsoever
Grave misconduct outside the college campus
Any action likely to violate the good order of the college
In case of a serious offence, a cadet may be expelled without previous warning.
